Ah, my first birthday away from home. Mina and Sumie held a wonderful birthday party for me in the morning and gave me an amazing set of gifts. I received a beautiful yukata AND a great mesh overcoat with the Hosogawa Clan symbol on it. My bags arrived early this morning, much to my relief. After spending most of the day at their house, visiting the beach, and generally lazing about, it was time to leave. I repacked all of my gear, including my freshly washed clothes (thanks to Sumie) and headed for Sendai.
Once there, I met Grace at the nearby Holiday Inn (a VERY swank hotel in Japan) and we hit the town for my birthday. We headed to a nearby Irish pub so I could have a pint for my twenty-second. After that, we had some curry and headed for bed.
