The Matsuda family is my next homestay family. The father is an engineer and the mother stays at home and takes care of their two kids, Yuni and Yoshi. They seem very open and a lot of fun. I've had a great time with them so far. We went to dinner the night of the transfer and had a Japanese style buffet on all wooden dishes. It was great.
We went to two elementary schools this week - one public, one private. The private school was a beautiful new facility, complete with a pool, specially designed classrooms, and enormous amounts of technology. The kids there were a lot of fun - we had a great time with them, especially over lunch and recess. We also played a game in gym where we laid on the floor and tried to make kanji letters with our bodies.
The public school was also a blast - had a great time playing with and hanging out with the kids. We actually spent no classroom time at the public school. All of our time was spent playing games! The cap on our day was the duck in the bucket that we saw this old woman washing.
